ABOUT ME
Amy Lin (she/her) is a dynamic and versatile crossover violinist known for her unique blend of classical, pop, blues, and rock music. With a passion for pushing the boundaries of traditional violin performance, Amy loves to entertain the audience with her innovative interpretations, closing the gap between classical and popular music.
Amy has been playing violin since the age of five and has performed in various ensembles including symphony orchestras, chamber groups, musical pit bands, and bands. Amy is also a passionate and award-winning educator.
As a solo artist, Amy alternates between acoustic and electric violin to bring fresh and exciting perspectives on classics and more contemporary hits.
Amy currently performs in the Hamilton, Burlington, Toronto and surrounding areas with solo acts and with other musicians. She also plays with Mary Ann McVicar in Heartstrings, and with Kyle Gritchen, a violin-guitar vocal duo.
